My favorite subjects are Computer Science, Astrophysics, and Math. Mr.Vivek Bhandari connected me with Prof. Jamie Lombardi who is an expert in Astrophysics. Through structured sessions, I explored topics such as the Big Bang Theory, gravity, celestial timekeeping, orbits, light, the birth and evolution of stars, black holes and other compact objects, dark matter, and dark energy. This opportunity not only deepened my understanding of Astrophysics but also gave me firsthand exposure to academic research and helped me understand how this subject will be taught in college. Engaging in research while still in high school helped me understand academic expectations, the pace of college-level work, and how to collaborate with professors. I would highly recommend the research program to students looking to challenge themselves and stand out in their academic journey.
